About

Old tennis courts.
New game.

Porthcawl Padel is run by four locals: Elliott Jones, Conor Rees, Benjamin Thomas and Daniel Thomas.

We took the tired tennis courts at Griffin Park and turned them into two premium panoramic padel courts, right on the seafront. New groundworks, fencing, lighting and specialist protective glass, built to handle the coastal weather all year round.

"The support from the Development Bank of Wales has been key in helping us deliver the courts to the standard we wanted."
Elliott Jones, director

Panoramic glass

Clear glass walls, so the view of the court is uninterrupted from every side.

Floodlit

Courts are lit, so evening games run well into the dark winter months.

Secure entry

Your booking unlocks court access. No staff needed, no waiting around.

Disabled access

The courts are accessible for disabled players.

FAQ

Good questions

What is padel?

A doubles racket sport played on a court about a third the size of a tennis court, surrounded by glass walls you can play the ball off. Underarm serve, solid rackets, soft balls. Easy to pick up, hard to put down.

How do I book a padel court in Porthcawl?

On the Playtomic app or at playtomic.com/clubs/porthcawl-padel. Pick a court, pick a time, pay, and your booking gets you in.

I have never played. Can I still come?

Yes. The Ladies Sunday Social and Men's Social are open to levels 0 to 7, so they are the easiest way to start.

Do I need my own racket?

Message us on Instagram before your first game and we will sort you out.

What happens if it rains?

The courts are outdoors and built for the coast, so light rain is playable. If the weather turns properly bad, get in touch.

Where do I park?

The courts are at Griffin Park, CF36 5TS, just off the seafront. Parking info coming soon.
